This year began with cleaning, painting, drilling, and much tea drinking as I moved into my new studio space! I love a DIY project at the best of times, but knowing that at the end of it I was going to have a beautiful new space to work in was excellent motivation to get the job done.
I decided to go for a soft grey colour for the walls, grey really makes bright colours look good, which is pretty important with my general colour palette. Lots of shelves were needed to take all of my useful ‘stuff’ ( at this point I discovered how boringly expensive shelf brackets are!)
Now I’d like to invite you in for a little tour, please come in and have a look around!
The table! I am in love with this glorious table! It was actually hand-made for a friend by her dad, and very special to her, so I’m really babysitting it for the time being – and very happy to do so!
Scarves available for your perusal. Copper coat hangers were a must as I’ve been lusting after similar ones in Peltoniemi Concept Store for some time.
This table….seriously it is a life changer! Now all un-hemmed scarves can hang out underneath while they wait their turn rather than being folded away in a box.
I’m yet to start making a proper mess, but here is the beginnings.
Think Ikea would be proud of this one?
Hope you enjoyed the little virtual tour. You’ll know where to find me now!
